Chapter 13 - The Visitor

Shortly before Victoria Sterling’s health failed in prison, she sent a letter to the foundation requesting a final visit from Arthur.
Arthur debated whether to attend, but ultimately decided to face her one last time—not out of anger, but to close the final chapter of his past completely.
Sitting behind the reinforced glass of the prison visitation room, Arthur looked at the frail, white-haired woman sitting opposite him. Victoria looked decades older than her age, her cold pride replaced by hollow defeat.
"Why did you come, Arthur?" she asked raspy. "To gloat?"

"No," Arthur replied softly. "I came to let you know that Ethan is happy. He is strong, he is free, and he forgives you. But more importantly... he has completely forgotten you."
Victoria stared at him, her eyes filling with bitter tears as Arthur stood up and walked away without looking back.
