"Done... it's done," Arthur gasped, turning the computer monitor so Frank could see the zeroed-out balances. "Look! I refunded them all! Every single one!"
Frank inspected the screen carefully, his sharp eyes verifying every transaction line. Satisfied, he reached out and picked the black digital recorder off the desk, slipping it back into his internal jumpsuit pocket.
"Good," Frank said, stepping back toward the office door. "Now print out your resignation letter."
Arthur looked up, his eyes wide with horror. "What?! I gave you the money back! I did what you asked!"

"You did what was right for the customers," Frank said, his voice flat and unyielding as granite. "Resign by five o'clock, or this recorder goes straight to the owner and the police. If you're still sitting in that chair tomorrow morning, I won't hesitate."
Without waiting for a response, Frank opened the office door, stepped back out into the hallway, and let the heavy door click shut behind him.
