Chapter 4 - THE SHATTERED GOLD
Liam heard his son's voice, and the final thread of his restraint snapped.
He turned toward the head table.
CRASH!
With a single, violent kick of his heavy boot, Liam sent the golden banquet chair flying across the room.
The chair slammed into the main table, shattering wine glasses and sending floral centerpieces tumbling onto Victoria’s lap.
Victoria stumbled back into her seat, gasping in complete, unadulterated horror as red wine splashed across her beige satin suit.
The entire banquet hall fell into absolute, suffocating silence.
"You'd throw your own family out over her?!" Victoria shrieked, clutching her ruined pearls with trembling fingers.
Charlotte’s wine glass shattered on the floor beside her gold dress.
