Chapter 4 - THE SHATTERED LINEN

CRASH!

Ethan didn't just push the glass; he drove his entire arm across the length of the banquet table.

The heavy white tablecloth tore away, sending three-tiered wedding cakes, crystal bowls, and silver platters flying into the air.

Porcelain shattered against the stone patio in a deafening explosion of sugar, glass, and cream.

Several elderly women in the crowd gasped, covering their mouths in absolute shock.

Evelyn flinched violently, taking two steps back as cake frosting splattered across the hem of her pristine beige suit.

Her polite mask shattered instantly, her face twisting into pure rage.

"Ethan! Have you lost your mind?!" Evelyn shrieked, her hands flying to her red face.

"That table cost thousands of dollars!"

Ethan stood amidst the wreckage, his chest rising and falling, his knuckles white as he glared at her.

"I don't care about your money, Evelyn," Ethan growled.
