Chapter 13 - The Rebirth of the Sovereign

One year after the incident at the banquet hall, the Grand Sovereign Hotel underwent a complete organizational overhaul.
Under pressure from public boycotts and municipal labor regulations, the hotel's ownership board voted to restructure its operational management, establishing a worker-represented board of directors and fair wage standards across all hospitality departments.
On a bright Tuesday afternoon, the hotel held a grand reopening ceremony in its main lobby.
Elena stood at the wooden podium near the glass entrance, flanked by Marcus and dozens of catering workers dressed in new, sharp uniforms.
She was no longer wearing a server's apron. She had been hired as the Chief Director of Labor Relations and Community Outreach for the hotel group.

"For too long, the people who build, clean, and serve in this city have been invisible," Elena spoke into the microphone, her voice steady and clear. "We were expected to suffer in silence, to accept cruelty as the price of survival. Today, we demonstrate that dignity is not a privilege reserved for the wealthy. It is a fundamental right."
The audience erupted into loud, sustained applause. Among the crowd were former strike members, local business owners, and families who had supported the movement.
