Chapter 14 - The Blueprint of Tomorrow

Years passed, and the shadow of Sterling Manor faded into a distant memory.

At ten years old, Leo was a thriving, confident boy who excelled in school and loved playing classical piano. He had his mother's sharp mind and deep empathy, completely untouched by the arrogance of his father's family.

One evening, Eleanor walked into the music room of their renovated home. Leo sat at a grand piano, his fingers gliding effortlessly over the keys, playing a gentle, beautiful melody that filled the house.

Eleanor leaned against the doorframe, watching him with immense pride.

When he finished the piece, Leo looked up and smiled. "Did you like it, Mommy?"

"It was breathtaking, Leo," Eleanor said, walking over to sit beside him on the piano bench. "You compose better every day."

"I named this piece 'The Light in the Stone,'" Leo said softly, touching the piano keys. "Because even when things were cold and hard, you brought the light back."

Eleanor felt tears touch her eyes. She wrapped her arm around his shoulders, resting her chin on his head. "You were the light, Leo. Everything I did was for you."
