Chapter 7 - THE TAPE OF REVELATION

Within five minutes, the terrace was flooded with the estate's private security team. Two armed guards stood silently near the glass doors, while Arthur, still wrapped in a heavy towel with infant Leo sleeping fitfully in his arms, stood inside the villa's private security hub overlooking the pool.
Elena sat on a leather sofa nearby, draped in a thick, warm blanket supplied by the house butler, a steaming cup of tea sitting untouched on the glass table before her.
Victoria stood near the corner of the room, flanked by two guards. She had ceased her shouting. Her face was deathly pale, her posture rigid, her eyes fixed on the massive wall-mounted security monitor that was currently booting up the playback interface.
The chief security officer’s fingers moved rapidly across the physical control board, pulling up the local drive archives for the pool deck camera.
"Timestamp 22:14:03," the chief announced, his voice neutral and professional. "File isolated."
"Play it," Arthur commanded, his voice cold as absolute zero.
The high-definition 4K footage filled the screen. Because of the camera's high-grade infrared sensors, the night scene appeared as clear as daylight.
On the screen, Victoria appeared in her gold satin dress, standing alone by the pool with the black stroller. There was no maid in sight. The audio track, captured by the camera's directional microphone, played clearly through the room’s high-end speakers.
Victoria’s voice echoed off the walls: "No one will ever know."
The footage showed her leaning forward, gripping the black handlebar, and giving the stroller a firm, deliberate, two-handed push into the turquoise water.
The room gasped. One of the security guards looked away from the monitor to glare directly at Victoria with utter disgust.
The video continued. Two seconds later, Elena appeared on the screen, bursting through the glass doors, screaming, launching herself into the pool without a second's hesitation, diving deep under the surface to rescue the child.
The evidence was undeniable. It was a cold, brutal, and crystal-clear record of attempted murder.
Arthur slowly turned around to face Victoria. His hand trembled against his son’s back, not from fear, but from a profound, horrifying rage that threatened to consume him whole.

"You tried to kill my son," Arthur said, each word a dropping anvil.
Victoria opened her mouth to speak, to offer some final, pathetic excuse, but no sound came out. The illusion had been shattered into irreversible dust.
